This entire pillar is about three   5 00:00:25.440 --> 00:00:32.880 light-years in duration that means it's so  long that it takes light traveling at 186,000   6 00:00:32.880 --> 00:00:40.020 miles per second, takes it three years to go from  the bottom to top.
